Blackberry Phone Enters the Philippines

Blackberry Phone becomes popular nowadays in the Philippines. With its fascinated features and latest trend and fashions, that’s the main reasons why many customers bought this product eventhough the price is high beyond the budgets. Some of its products were already introduced in the market by the two giant telecoms Smart Communications and Globe Telecom together with the Research in Motion (RIM).

BlackBerry Bold was the first BlackBerry smartphone introduced last November 2008 to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world, providing a superior functionality and performance for business professionals and power users. Customers of the said Blackberry Bold is expected to provide them with an unprecedented display quality, power, speed and functionality for both professional and personal use. The Regional Director of Research in Motion became happy to tie up with Globe Telecom last year in launching this smartphone to the customers in the Philippines.

Last month, RIM announced the availability of the new touchscreen Blackberry Storm in the Philippines. It was considered as the first foray into touchscreen handsets which was aimed by the iPhone 3G market. This time it was partnered with Smart Communications and will be expected to become available in the Smart Stores this June 2009.

A while ago, I have researched in Google and Yahoo that another model of Blackberry Phone will be introduced in the Philippines. This time AT&T is set to launch the Blackberry Curve 8900. If this combined force will happened, it will be a great effect to the sales of the Apple’s 3G iPhone, in which AT&T is the only provider here in the Philippines.

That’s a nice development for Pinoy techies. But not for me. It’s too much for me to lust after a blackberry. First dream acquisition for me is a modestly priced notebook for blogging.

Can you recommend something for me? Will not use it for online gaming, just blogging and a little photo editing for my blog. “,)

    Nice meeting you crisiboy. “,)
