I Join No To ConAss Fight!
As a campaign for No to ConAss by Filipino Online Community, I join myself to the No to ConAss fight and put the badge on my blog as a sign of my sincerest participation.
According to a leading newspaper in the country, the Filipino online community already united for a common purpose and that is to condemn the approval of House Bill 1109 that bind and set up a constituent assembly (ConAss) that will lead to a possibility of the present administration to stay in power beyond 2010.
Filipinos now are alert thats why they immediately jumped in the issue and launched the online campaign called No to ConAss! If you will notice, other site included the said online badge that said “Have you no shame?”
The said approval of House Bill 1109 empowered or gave authority to the Congress to organize a Constituent Assembly, where members of the House and the Senate could vote jointly to amend the 1987 Constitution.
So that is why some of the small and big sectors around the country have joined each other and encouraged individuals to buy a whistle or wear a red ribbon on June 10 and hit the streets in protest against the convening of a Constituent Assembly (ConAss).
As I have observed many bloggers already created a blog post about this as their sign of joining the protest. Some of them tweets or plurk in in the net and many Filipino blogger are turning into social networking sites just to convey the message of No to ConAss!
