My Secrets on How to Increase Blog Traffic
After reading this article, definitely, it won’t be a secret anymore as my blog post title implied. Now, this will showcase you my few but useful secrets on how to increase blog traffic. Of course blog traffic is needed when your goal is to make money online, right?
Well, I will still be generous to share my secrets specially for many of my close friends who are also newbies into blogging business asking me what’s my secrets on how I attained the rapid increase blog traffic everytime I created a new blog.
Last week ago, I already featured here how this blog showed an impressive traffic increase considering the fact that it was only built in three-week-time from the date of blog post. After realizing my effort on the how to increase blog traffic immediately, I then created another 3 blogs with different niches. Well it’s hard to maintain many blogs but this is also one secret on how to increase your earnings thru blogging.
And to update you also, this blog Crisiboy.Com, which is a one-month old already as of today!, happy 1st monthsarry then, had already gained 24,000 unique visitors coming from both referrals and search engine. This is an absolutely impressive achievement for this blog, isn’t it right?
Now that I am starting to gain traffic with my newly created 3 blogs, it’s now the time to share my secrets on how did I attained an impressive ways on how to increase blog traffic in a short period of time. I know you already read thousand of articles regarding ways or tips on how to increase blog traffic. But my question is did you understand what they were saying? Some of them have so many explanation and uses highfaluting words and phrases that may suck your mind in understanding it. It’s not a sarcastic question, but I know you are relating with what I am implying. Of course, I am so thankful to those persons or pro-bloggers that I’ve met in this passion that explained me very well on how to achieve it. Sometimes reading and understanding are not just enough but rather putting it in action or in application in order for you to see the real results. Well for me, the secrets that I am going to share with you are based on my personal experience and application. These will be stated in simple line of words and will not make you any complications. For all my closed friends, well I know you will believe in me, but for those who even doesn’t know me, well its your problem if you will or not convince by my story. Who cares? Care bears??Lolz! (Joke only)
The tips that I’ve shared with you from my previous post on “Impressive Traffic Increase of a Three Week Old Blog” are more on theoretical and subjective explanations. Now the secrets that I will going to share with you is more on real applications and discoveries.
1. Blog hopping. Many blogs about making money online stressed a big important about this. Yes that it true, thru blog hopping you will not just attain increase of blog traffic but you will also gain many friends with common thoughts and feelings about blogging.
When I created my first personal blog, Jologs na Yuppie, the fastest way I have gained many friends is thru their blog chatbox or message box, everytime I go online and update my blog. I also include in my scenario the blog hopping activities in which you will leave a simple message that will touch them and will notify them that you are existing. Thru that chatbox you can share with them that you have a new blog post, or you can ask them for exchange of links or you will just tell them some personal things that will bind each one of you. And later on you will just notice that you already gaining big number of friends thru that magic secret of the chatbox. I don’t know if the chatbox counted a unique visitors logged but at least it will help you boost your traffic that people will always come back in your blog.
2. Social Bookmarking Submission. Whenever I make a new blog post the next step to do is to submit your articles to social bookmarking site like digg, and mixx. These two social bookmarking site helped me a lot in my goal to increase blog traffic. I always got huge number of visitors from them. I will just warn you not to overused the social bookmarking sites as Google might penalize you and deindex your blog post in the search engine. Overused of these might harm you blog. My personal suggestion is just to submit to 2 to 4 social sites for every blog post.
Submission to related social site is also a big help. Let say you created a finance related topic. Like my topic about loans and credit card, I submitted it to some finance related social sites. In that way regular visitors of that site will become interested more on your blog post because this is 100% related to what they are looking for.
3. Join Forum. Joining forums as many as you can will not just help you to increase blog traffic but will also guide you to some useful information. When I joined Seo.ph forum, my goal there was not just to put a link on signature to get more traffic, but also search for useful informations about seo and other important things that might help my blog a lot. So you are not just gaining traffic from them, but you are also meeting friends and gaining lot of useful information from that forum site.
Tips: Join first in some Filipino based forum sites because you can easily relate with each other as well as with the topics there, since most of the online users there are Filipinos.
4. Write Quality Content Articles. Does it really make sense? Is your blog a useful source of information? What will I get from your blog? Well these are some of the questions that always put in your mind whenever you are visiting a website right? Many bloggers today are just fond of creating nonsense post just to say that their blog is updated or just to make seo. When traffic is concerned, it will always be advisable to produce a quality articles for people will love you because you are an “Online Friend of Great Information!”, as my banner taglines said. Lolz!
5. Harness the power of comments. Well I copied this tagline from one blog that I visited yesterday because I was just impressed with the use of words. But to self explained it, commenting to other blogs is a very essential way to increase blog traffic. If you leave a comment to other blogs, make it sure that you also leave your website url or your blog post url so you can create a link back to your own blog. This will again boost some traffic as many people will read your comment and may liked your comment and may go and visit your site too.
Top secret here is to make many comments as possible to blogs that you idolized or those blogs that you thinks are so popular and gaining tons of traffic everyday in order to expose your blog too a wide range of reader too. If its possible aim for the Top commentator position that some blogs are including in their sidebar as an encouragement of huge traffic too.
Of course you have to continue all these things to maintain a great volume of traffic. Because if you wont do this, your blog might be put into waste after all your efforts for a short period of time only.
Some blogs will give you 10, 50, 500 or thousand of tips on how to increase blog traffic. But what have you read are just my basic and simple secrets just for “Traffic Boosting” purposes only. Other tips I think are search engine optimization( seo) related matters already which I will post here in the next couple of days so you better watch out for it. Yeah commenting to other blog is one of the best way to communicate other blogger and also increase your blog traffic.
But if you will put a chat box in your blog, the words from your visitors will be post in your chat box and not in the comment section. So your blog will suffer less comments because of your chat box. I also experienced of having a chat box in my blog and that’s why I removed it and encourage my readers to send their thoughts about my post in the comment section.
