G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra Movie Trailer and Review

This is another movie to watch out. I must admit that I grew up watching G.I. Joe Cartoon and I know you will agree with me if I will say that they are one of the best during those times. Now I’m so exited that this famous cartoon series is now an upcoming movie to watch in big screens. The official movie title is G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.

When I saw the G.I. Joe movie trailer last week when I watch the box office hit Transformers 2, at first I never realized that the trailer is pertaining to that until the last part mentioning the title “G.I.Joe”. And as I watched the whole trailer again in youtube, I checked my schedules and book a plan of watching it on its premiere date of showing. I hope that this can also be shown in IMAX Theatres. This is definitely a must movie to watch for because of its impressive action look with quite epic and exciting stories. I am sure everyone will not be disappointed of spending their worth money in favourite movie houses.

From the director of “The Mummy”, “The Mummy Returns”, “The Jungle Book” and “Van Helsing”, Stephen Sommers directed the movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra with full of action, extravagant adventure and excitement. Paramount will distribute and premier the movie in theatres on August 7, 2009. The screenplay was co-written by Stuart Beattie of 30 Days of Night and Skip Woods of Swordfish and Hitman.

The full force of star casts includes Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller, Ray Park and Rachel Nichols. FYI, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra movie is a 1987 animated film from the animated series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero and based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe line of toys that first debut in 1964.

The story of this action pack movie will focus on two specially trained military operatives, Duke and Ripcord, who will later join an elite international team called “G.I. Joe” This elite team uses the latest next-generation military spy and ultra-high-tech equipment. Their main assignment is to bring this unit all over the world from Egyptian desert to deep polar ice caps to track down an infamous enemy and corrupt arms dealer named Destro who is behind the new organization known as “Cobra”.

The story behind this action pack movie, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is about the two specially trained military operatives, Duke and Ripcord, who joined an elite international team called “G.I. This elite unit does not accespt failure as an option. Their current assignment brings this unit all over the world from Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps to track down an infamous enemy named Destro. Destro is also known as a corrupt arms dealer and works behind the ominous new organization known only as “Cobra.”. The G.I Joe elite unit will prevent the Cobra organization to make the world into chaos.

i hope they do justice to a cartoon that we grew up with. i wasn’t a super fan of GI joe but it was definitely part of my childhood.
