Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Now Showing!
Definitely many of the Harry Potter fans love to see this movie in Imax and we are very sure that this movie will hit the box-office records set by the previous instalment series.I know you are already exited to watch this film. Yes, the sixth installment of Harry Potter series entitled Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince starts its showing today, July 15, 2009 at your favourite movie houses.
I haven’t see the movie yet, but since I am also excited to watch this movie this coming weekend, I will just give a brief movie review about it.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J.K. Rowling. This film is now directed by David Yates and released by Warner Bros. As usual, the cast will star Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and a lot more.
Expect a lot of changes from the book to the film itself. The climactic battle and the Dumbledore’s funeral is being removed as previously read from the book’s ending. The opening sequence will start from the collapse of a Muggle bridge and the funeral was already removed as it was believed that it did not fit the rest of the plot of the film.
As you can see in the trailer, Scenes of Diagon Alley being demolished by Death Eaters and the attack on the Burrow, known as “The Burning of the Burrow” are added to add spice and excitement in the film.
There were also characters from previous series that are being removed in the story like Dursleys, Kreacher, Dobby, Bill and Fleur, Rufus, Scrimgeour, Cornelius Fudge and the Muggle Prime Minister. But I became happy to know that Quidditch returns on the line of cast and create an important role in the story.
Expect a teenage romance scene between Harry and Ginny which were not included in the novel. A bigger twist will set fort as a blossom of love will occur between Harry and his bestfriend’s sister Ginny.

The Half Blood Prince was disappointing. Too much time was spent on the relationships between Harry/Ginny and Hermione/Ron. I was looking forward to the action sequences near the end of the book. They were omitted. The confrontation between Harry and Snape is also omitted. If you want to see this movie, go at the cheapest time of day.
I cant wait to see the movie!
