First A H1N1 (Swine Virus) Incident in the Philippines Confirmed!

I was so afraid, yes the Department of Health has confirmed yesterday night the first case of A H1N1 (Swine Virus) in the Philippines. DOH Secretary Francisco Duque sadly announced that the Philippines is now included in the list of countries with the A H1N1 virus.

Duque said that a 10-year-old girl who flew in with her parents last May 18, 2009 is the first carrier of the said A H1N1 virus. The girl was able to pass thru the scanner. According to the story, she started having a fever on May 19, 2009, with a cough and a sore throat. The parents of the girl brought here to the hospital and after series of examinations, the girl was confirmed to be suffering from the virus. Read more
